As she was sitting by the fire, trying to calm down, she heard a noise outside. She immediately became alert, thinking that it might be a wild animal. But, to her surprise, she heard a faint cry for help.
As they sat there in silence, Gina realized that they both must have been stranded for hours. She was glad that she had found Emily, and that they could help each other out.

As the hours passed, they started to talk more, sharing stories about their lives and their families. Gina learned that Emily was a college student, and she was on her way to meet her friends for a camping trip. "Don't worry, we'll figure out a way to get out of here," Gina said, trying to reassure Emily. "We just need to stay warm and safe until the storm passes."
